Peut-être que le sujet a été déjà abordé mais quelqu'un saurait-il me dire l'origine et le pourquoi du nom "LOTUS" de notre marque favorite ?

Where does the name Lotus come from?
No one really knows where the name Lotus comes from but some legendary stories are as follows:

Colin Chapman bought an Austin 7 as an unsold lot in an auction i.e. Lot Un-Sold or LOT U/S, which was the sticker on the car at an auction. This car was converted to his new sportscar, which he then named Lotus.

Lotus Blossom was a term of affection given by Chapman for his wife Hazel.

At one of the first motorsport events that Chapman attended, all the other competitors cars were named after flowers such as Tulip, Rose, Daisy etc. Chapman called his a Lotus (Lilly) However, as with many brilliant ideas that Chapman had over the years, it probably just came to him! We may never know!
