original email a écrit :Hello Bill
Thank you for the enquiry and your interest in the OBDKey (www.obdkey.com)
product range.
I found your system and think it could be a usefull toy for my Elise S1
K-serie (rover ECU).
Could you let me know what I could do with this? <<
You can read the sensor data and any fault codes which the engine management
ECU is reporting.
read data, issue but could I damage the ECU itself?
No this cannot damage the ECU. The OBDKey uses the same communications that
would be used at a Lotus garage.
The bluetooth seems great. could plug it on my old IPAQ 1940 (during
runs)and my Ibook (servcing)<<
If your iPaq has Bluetooth then that will work fine. I will find out what
software is available for the iBook.
Would you be able to provide an extention, With an extention lead, I could
leave the Key in the Booth and connected all the time (make it part of the
car).
<<
I think we could do that, but bear in mind the OBDKey is only 60mm in total
length so you may not need the extension?
Kind regards
Sinclair
